CRAZY
LONAVALA
19THAugust, 2016: The day when we, the
students of Eduglobe accompanied by the faculty departed for Lonavala, a hill
station that attracts many tourists and people from Maharashtra, especially the
Konkan region. It takes around 3 hours to reach Lonavala from Andheri, Mumbai.
Therefore we left around 8:00AM to reach there by the Lunch time.
The route that we took to reach Lonavala was
the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and not the National Highway which is full of bumpy
roads. The expressway has excellent roads, beautiful Ghats and well-built restaurants.
We ate a Maharashtrian Breakfast, MISAL PAV at a restaurant at 10:00AM. And
resumed our journey. Finally we reached our Resort HONEYBEE RESORTS, Lonavala.
The trip wasn’t tiring, but the activity that we were about to do could make us
feel tired. Everyone took pleasure in swimming and dancing followed by a
stomach filling lunch!
It was 5:00 PM
and was the time to go to Tiger Point. The way to Tiger Point is full of steep
turns and slopes. Tiger point is not a place where there are tigers, but it is
the highest point in Lonavala. It gives you the complete view of Lonavala and
the Ghats adjacent to it. The scenery is outstanding coupled with misty, cold
and chilled weather (HEAVENLY WEATHER)! A must visit place in Lonavala.
The day ended
with a party at the resort which combined of 3D’s: DISCO, DRINKS and DINNER!!
“New Day, New Activity”
it was! The activity was Trekking. At about 6 in the morning we went to a
nearby hill, walking, jogging, running and jumping. We observed exotic beauty
while climbing up. After breakfast, we played cricket followed by Pool Party
again! On the way back to Mumbai we did the world famous Chikki shopping of
Lonavala!
The trip was a
refreshment for us. We relish the time spent in Lonavala. For me, I enjoyed it
a lot. But I wish I could go to many more places there like The Bushy Dam, Wax
Museum and do some other mountain sports. There could be arrangements made for
other recreation. Overall it was a Nice 2 Day Trip! A must visit Hill station
if you are near Mumbai or Pune!
