CRAZY LONAVALA
19THAugust, 2016: The day when we, the students of Eduglobe accompanied by the faculty departed for Lonavala, a hill station that attracts many tourists and people from Maharashtra, especially the Konkan region. It takes around 3 hours to reach Lonavala from Andheri, Mumbai. Therefore we left around 8:00AM to reach there by the Lunch time.
The route that we took to reach Lonavala was the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and not the National Highway which is full of bumpy roads. The expressway has excellent roads, beautiful Ghats and well-built restaurants. We ate a Maharashtrian Breakfast, MISAL PAV at a restaurant at 10:00AM. And resumed our journey. Finally we reached our Resort HONEYBEE RESORTS, Lonavala. The trip wasn’t tiring, but the activity that we were about to do could make us feel tired. Everyone took pleasure in swimming and dancing followed by a stomach filling lunch!
It was 5:00 PM and was the time to go to Tiger Point. The way to Tiger Point is full of steep turns and slopes. Tiger point is not a place where there are tigers, but it is the highest point in Lonavala. It gives you the complete view of Lonavala and the Ghats adjacent to it. The scenery is outstanding coupled with misty, cold and chilled weather (HEAVENLY WEATHER)! A must visit place in Lonavala.
The day ended with a party at the resort which combined of 3D’s: DISCO, DRINKS and DINNER!!
“New Day, New Activity” it was! The activity was Trekking. At about 6 in the morning we went to a nearby hill, walking, jogging, running and jumping. We observed exotic beauty while climbing up. After breakfast, we played cricket followed by Pool Party again! On the way back to Mumbai we did the world famous Chikki shopping of Lonavala!
The trip was a refreshment for us. We relish the time spent in Lonavala. For me, I enjoyed it a lot. But I wish I could go to many more places there like The Bushy Dam, Wax Museum and do some other mountain sports. There could be arrangements made for other recreation. Overall it was a Nice 2 Day Trip! A must visit Hill station if you are near Mumbai or Pune!

Trip to Sulavines Nashik

   July 13, 2016-Mumbai, India

The day was Wednesday. A favorable climate to travel to Nashik from Mumbai accompanied! The faculty members planned an educational trip to Sulavines, Nashik for us, the students of Eduglobe School of Learning.
We started in the morning, around 7:00am. The Route to Nashik is via National Highway3.Travelling was no concern, as we enjoyed ourselves a lot in the bus-dancing, singing and playing games. We stopped at midway for a South-Indian breakfast. Later on while travelling I got to know that NH3 consists of beautiful Ghats, lush greenery, waterfall's (during monsoon) and well built roads and took some snaps of the beauty that the route itself offers!
By 1:00pm, we reached Nashik and went to Curry Leaves for our Lunch. Curry Leaves is an amazing restaurant with nice ambience and delicious varied food they provide. It took us 1 hour out there and then we were on our way to SULA VINEYARD!
"ACRES OF GRAPE PLANTATIONS", that is what I could see there. And in the middle lied a building consisting of Tasting Room, Amphitheatre, Preparation, Storage and Purchasing Rooms. This place is known for its Wine Tourism. This is some of the information that I have noted:
1st process- Harvesting of grapes(Months: January-March).
2nd process- Crushing of grapes in a machine known as Crushing Pad.
3rd process- Fermentation followed by Blending, Stabilization and filtration of grape juice in a big tank whose storage is 10000-80000L.
4th process- Ageing: Where the juice is kept in wooden barrels for months!
5th process- Yeast is put in the bottle which eats all the sugar and Wine is Made!!!!
Crushing Pad

Tanks For Storage

Barrels
We tasted 6 wines in the tasting room, and mind me the experience was fantastic! We were taught to taste and hold the wine glass. After every wine, we were given Crackle Biscuits in order to neutralize the taste. Wine doesn't taste good, definitely not like Cold drinks! All the wines were sour and bitter(Dhindori wine being the worst thing I have ever tasted!!) I won't reveal the names of the wines, but yes they are great for the wine lovers! Wines contain less amount of alcohol and hence are better than Whisky, rum and other alcoholic drinks. Drinking it for the 2nd time I felt they are worth trying.
We then went to the restaurant kind of place made there, for the people who want to drink wine to sit back and relax there. We then boarded the bus and reached Mumbai safely!
Indeed it was an amazing experience. A must visit place "SULAVINES". Do send me the comments regarding this Blog!
